Today was a calm after the storm! Two days ago our office had to be evacuated due to a smoking fuse. Fireman had to be called. OMG! but nothing major happened, so far. We were ordered to work from home for at least 1 day as they were going to shut down the power. Only in today mid morning we could come back to office.
It did not discouraged us! Move@Work continues strong!
Sessions ran as normal, 08:40 people were appearing into the meeting. a conversation was involving the first joiners and slowly more came.
Total of 9 people wrapped up the final count. All saw the new scenario Yes new! My house! Move@Work also can be done at home as some of us are working from home. I tried to make the more professional as possible 🙂
Today I changed things a bit as standing sessions was the idea. Focused on range of movement and stretches of the various parts f the body , starting from neck , passing to shoulders, spine, hip , knees and ankles, with easy to follow exercises. Fluidity was good, had good moments of laughter due to some movements like “hip rolls” or myself getting unbalance and asking to be referred to the “Virtual Exercise Classes” or funny situation happening, like people “disappearing” behind the background completely xD
It finished with three deep breathing front the flexed position to the full extended body.
My thoughts:
Sessions are going well. It was time to change routines, and throw standing exercises to the mix. It will be interesting to see the interactions that I can do between sitting and standing routines. So far staff was mainly getting sitting routines, but it is planned (keep following the blog to know).
Today session had no concerns, was good to see that staff has a good involvement with the exercises and is noticeable the enjoyment they are having. No stress with timings, still having an average of 12-13min per sessions that gives a good frame for people to start or re-start the work (yes some of use start at 08:30).
Very happy that I am having this opportunity to show what I want to do for the wellbeing of the staff!
