04/11/21 to 25/11/21

Sessions are going well, staff tends to attend to the session even if they log in late and I see no fear on showing morning faces, which is very positive. Also god to see that people interact with the various colleagues even been virtual, which makes me believe that Move@Work is having a impact of teambuilding.
Sessions always followed an pattern from warm up where I perform a mobility routine of neck , shoulder, spine and lower limbs mobility. I tend to vary the the stance from sitting, standing or both. Is funny to see soem people struggling for balance, me included so I always say “use the chair or table” and even have a laugh with one of the seniors from the Falls Prevention Team, when I ask for the number for me to self refer
As for the general stretches always starting from head/neck , torso and lower limbs. I perform 1x repetition for 10-15s each section. I try to preform a flow between stretches, similar to Pilates or Yoga but still is work in progress. But been finding as similar to lower limb mobility movements, the stretches are
To finalize always 3 deep breaths to clear the air.
My thoughts:
We entered into the final stretch for the Part 1 of Move@Work, everything running smooth. People still coming, even grabbed some staff from another Team to join. Feel like it is making a difference on people’s wellbeing, as I hear that “sessions are a good way to start the day, specially in a Monday, after the weekend” or ” since “I started doing them II never had realize how stiff I am”
Me personally I want to make people understand the importance of movement during work hours , and this project is making want to pursue my passion more and more.
Next week will be the last session of the First Part of Move@Work
