“Morning Routines”
I will talk to you about what happens as I set foot in to the office, as I start my day. As part of morning routines run to the Gym area where I saved and will continue to save a spot so I can perform my classes. After grabbinga coffee I will then step up the room with extra chair, as I have been noticing that some staff are in the office.
I ask them if the want to join me in person, so we can make it different and I am not alone. This been happening since early sessions, but during this half of sessions, more and more try to join me in person without me telling them 🙂
Sessions always followed an pattern from warm up where I normally pick a routine of neck , shoulder, spine and lower limbs mobility to wake up the body. I tend to perform various neck movements, among them are extension/flexion ; rotations, lateral flexion and extension.
For the spine I will vary between general spine rotation or separate in sections, from upper spine, to middle and lower spine. For the lower limbs I try to keep it simple with perform movements focus on hip, knee and ankle mobility.
Then I start with general stretches always starting from head/neck , torso and lower limbs. I perform 1x repetition for 10-15s each section so I can easily fit in the 15min session time.
As always 3 deep breaths to take all the bad energies out of the body!
My thoughts:
Sessions still running, I try my best to bring people into the class. Been noticing that some colleagues tend to invite more people to join, so sometimes I can see 2-3 people in the camera. That make me really happy, as people are enjoying it and passing on the word.
I will keeping to mix exercises, bring various routines to make classes interesting, but I still feels difficulty on finding routines for lower limbs (more digging for me to do :), has I need to find exercises for everyone.
Regarding extra materials, I made progress as I asked for Funding from GSTT Charity to bring “extras” to the sessions
