And it has begun! – 13/09/21

It was around 08:20am at teh gym of the Whittington Centre in Streatham that I starting setting up for the re-start of Move@Work!

I felt like starting a new job or even getting into class, the tingling inside was making my adrenaline go up, but when had the first colleague joining Microsoft Teams room stetted up for the session, the nervous disappeared as I starting talking about how the weekend was. Bit by bit the the room was having more people joining. Fourteen was the final count in the end.

08:46:

Session had a good flow where general joint mobility were performed initially, easy movements so all colleagues could perform it and aiming to “wake up the joints” for the Monday. Breathing exercises were introduced to engage mental relaxation so we could be prepared to face the daily work, as way to transition to the final global stretches to prepare muscles for the constant contractions and relaxations happening throughout the day, due to our body moving.

My thoughts:

Session went well, I noted a good compliance from staff, no concerns regarding people turning up late , no technical issues (so far xD). The routine of exercise was done with good transitions without awkward silences or long position changes.

Timing wise, was good, session lasting around 13 minutes. I think is a good time have the routine of the session, did not had to rush, all went smooth. I am really happy with it!

In the end all staff seemed happy and enjoyed it! I Even feedback came from the class “I don’t remember the last time long I did chest rotations. It felt good doing in the morning. I feels more loose now”

I am exited for what is coming next, ideas are there and various routines will follow in conjunction with some supersizes appearing along the way 🙂

Continue to follow until next time! And Come Move@Work with me!
