As a way to offer Community Rehabilitation and Falls Service (CRAFS) Team staff I talked to my Supervisor and offered a wellbeing service trial for CRAFS Physiotherapy Team that was redeployed in the Intermediate Care Lambeth.as a way to help fight the pressures that the service was having because of COVID.
I explained my propolsal and my project, Move@Work and gave a option to preform an easy to prepare and deliver session, which we called “Chair Yoga”
Plan was for trial 4 sessions twice a week, on Monday’s and Thursdays on a virtual setting. This had the objective to see how staff would react to the implementation and see their feedback to see if we could take the project further.
Lets check the feedback:
In the end I gave my colleagues a feedback form to see what did they thought about the sessions of “Chair Yoga”
“it is beneficial for my body and i don’t find enough time to do it by myself during the day, feeling more motivated in the group.”
“Tiago is handsome, the exerises are easy to follow and can be replicated with my patients.”
“Opportunity to prioritize wellbeing. Virtual component made it easy & practical to join. Short session that is easy to fit into your day.”
“Team building and a chance to warm up before work”
“to have a good start to the day ; to enjoy the team building aspect of getting together to do something ; getting the body moving and practicing movements that can use throughout the day”
to see members from my team, support my colleagues
“Being shown how to do exercise to support with Back, neck issue as well as being able to do at the begining of the day while at work”
“The Conversation:”
With the end of Trial with the Physiotherapy Team of CRAFS I build up corage to go to my Manager and present the project and teh feedback from “Chair Yoga”
I was greeted with warms and was made a ease as I entered her office. Why the feedback presented we passed through the project it. Move@Work was finally out o the closet, after two and half years. I explained the project layout and the response was positive, with me noticing a enthusiasm from my manager part. She explained to me that as a part of CRAFS service objectives they like staff wellbeing ideas. Move@Work was a good idea to implement.
I was then offered opportunity to present on the July Monthly Service Meeting to make a presentation to the all Team on my idea of implementation of a well being program.
It took 10min to my colleagues from CRAFS to agree to the proposal. I was ecstatic to see that I could bring Move@Work to the wider team. I took this as a boost, as I feel that it can go far, as nowadays this is necessary to have on board on every company.
